PlayStation Plus Update - March 2015

Typical! After days of waiting for an announcement about March 2015 PS Plus update, I go to the pub for a few hours and BAM! They announced the games coming to the instant game collection, tomorrow! That's right tomorrow. Sony have a track record of getting March's announcement out but this time it was really cutting it fine. So seeing as it is so late at night lets just get in to it.

PlayStation 4:

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty (PS4)

March starts off with the addition of the HD remake of the classic Abe's Odyssey. This cult puzzle platformer has been completely remade with new visuals, lighting and running at 1080P. If you have never played an Oddworld game this is the place to start. Help Abe escape Rupture Farms and save his species from being turned into the latest food craze. It is a game I played originally years ago and didnt get very far. I want to to finish it this time.

Valiant Hearts (PS4)

Possibly one of the most poignant games of last year and one of the few games to convey World War One to an audience who may not know alot about it. I picked this up in a sale last year and can highly recommend it to anyone. Using the Rayman engine to a wonderful new effect, this puzzle adventure sees you control four characters and their perspective of the Great War. It is a wonderful experience and it is probably one of Ubisoft's better games of 2014.

PlayStation 3:

Papo & Yo (PS3)

Ok I have no idea what this game is about and the trailer didn't help much either. So I did some research and found this out. The game follows the story of a boy, Quico, and his best friend, Monster Monster is a huge beast with razor-sharp teeth, but that doesn’t scare Quico away from playing with him. Build your friendship with Monster by solving puzzles together and adventuring through a magical, surrealist world. You will need to learn to use Monster’s emotions, both good and bad, to your advantage if you want to complete your search for a cure and save your pal.

Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments (PS3)

Its a shame this is not the PS4 version, but I cannot complain. This game is like LA Noire meets Sherlock Holmes. You cannot go wrong! I played this briefly at EGX last year and was really impressed with the game. I am looking forward to getting my sleuth on.

PlayStation Vita:

OlliOlli 2 : (PS4/PSV)

The original OlliOlli was very well received and people seemed to enjoy the game very much. I was not one of them and I blame one thing for this. TONY HAWK PRO SKATER! I spent so much time playing the Tony Hawk series over the years that I cannot get my old man brain around the differences in the controls in OlliOlli for me to be any good at it. I think that with OlliOlli 2 coming as a cross buy title, I may give it a go on the big screen. I hope it clicks with me this time.

CounterSpy (PSV/PS3/PS4)

CounterSpy is an awesome spy stealth game set in the Cold War era. Its like playing James Bond. Take on the role of a spy working for the C.O.U.N.T.E.R. agency and use your espionage and combat skills to infiltrate the lairs of two global forces – each with their own dastardly plans to nuke the moon from orbit. As the warring superpowers face off in this twisted space race, jump into action to stealthily sabotage their devious schemes and maintain world peace.

That wraps up another month and once again, despite the very late announcement, it is another good month for the Instant Game Collection with something for everyone. So now we all know and can stop fretting about what are we getting and when. So enjoy your free games... because they are free!
