Eurogamer Expo 2014 25 - 28 SEPT 2014 -Preview

It only seems like I went to EGX 2013 a few weeks ago, but the time for this year's one is here! EGX 2014 is at Earls Court for the last time this year before the home of British gaming conventions is torn down to make way for... 4 villages? I will miss Earls Court and it's £8 sausage and chips.

Anyway let's get back to the games, the whole point of EGX. Last year's show was kind of in limbo as Sony and Microsoft were keen to get people to play on their new shiny consoles. While that was exciting,it meant that the games weren't there as much as in previous years. This year though the new consoles are here and in people's houses which means EGX 2014 is getting back to games. If you are attending this week you can get your hands on games like...

Alien Isolation
Assassin's Creed: Rogue
Bloodborne
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Dead Island 2
Destiny
Dragon Age: Inquisition
DriveClub
Elite: Dangerous
Evolve
Far Cry 4
Halo: The Master Chief Collection
Shadow of Mordor
Sunset Overdrive
Super Smash Bios for 3DS & Wii U
WWE 2K15
and loads more.

Wow that was a big list. Personally, I can't wait to try out Alien, Far Cry 4 and Destiny (but only because I cannot go 8 hours without playing Destiny).

That's not it though there are still a huge amount of other things to see. Rezzed is back at EGX again with a huge selection of the latest indie titles for you to play. This is what I like to call the "What I will be playing on my Vita next year" section. There is a costly stage, if you are one fo those people who like to dress up as extravagant video game characters. I myself shall be attending cos playing as pedestrian #43 from GTA V.

As is the tradition for EGX, all of the sessions I really wanted to see are on the days I'm not going. Not to worry though as all of the sessions are being streamed on Twitch on the Eurogamer Twitch channel. The show opens this Thursday 25th September and runs to Sunday 28th September. I am heading down on the Friday and Sunday and cannot wait to get stuck in. Have a great time if you are going and don't forget to say hi to me if you see me. I'm the guy dressed as Pedestrian #43 from GTA V, you can't miss me.
