Infinity Week - Day 4 - The Reviews

Whilst here in Europe,we have to wait until tomorrow to get our hands on a copy of Disney Infinity. Those lucky Americans have been able to play it for the last couple of days. So lets take a look at how it has been received.

Game Informer
"Disney Infinity is off to a great start and will hopefully be supported for years to come. The thought of Avalanche Software potentially tapping Star Wars, Marvel Comics, and other properties in Disney’s vault for upcoming sets makes this game’s future just as exciting as spending an afternoon creating adventures with friends." Score: 9.0 Gold Award

IGN
"It’s an excellent primer for kids embarking on a life playing games – it’ll teach them everything they need to know about barrel-rolling in a third-person shooter, power-sliding around corners, or judging line of sight in stealth games, and so much more too." (Read More)

Score: 8.7

EGM
"The Play Set portion of Disney Infinity consists of average to slightly above-average platformers, with enough collectibles to send players with OCD off the deep end. Things get better in the Toy Box, where the potential for player-crafted adventures really opened up the experience. Overall, Disney Infinity is an excellent addition to the fairly new toy-enhanced game genre." (Read More)

Score: 8.5

Polygon
"The game doesn't quite nail those moments of carefree child's play found in every real-world toy box, but it gets closer than any other game we've played." (Read More)

Score: 8.0

GameTrailers
"Disney Infinity is a source of constant amusement and there’s never been anything quite like it before. It’s a driving game, a shooter, a platform-heavy action-adventure game, a stealth game, and it includes modes of customizations that challenge you to invent your own genres or make worlds greater than the ones the developers have already built."

Score: 8.6

AS you can see, Disney Infinity is getting a great reception and the critics all agree. If you are looking for a videogame to play with your kids, this is it. This Bank Holiday weekend, why not grab a copy of Disney Infinity for the kids and start your family's Toy Box
