Playstation Plus - Surprise Update!!
Posted by Mark
Sony have just has a surprise announcement regarding some new additions to the PS3 Instant Game Collection. Since the service launched last year three titles have been part of the collection since day one. Little Big Planet 2, Infamous 2 and Motorstorm Apocalypse are leaving the instant game collection next week as part of the weekly PlayStation Store update.
They are to be replaced with three new titles that will join the collection for the next year! These games are...
Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception
Isn't it a coincedence that on the week that Naughty Dog release their latest masterpiece, their previous title hits the Instant Game Collection. Uncharted 's single player portion marks Nathan Drakes debut on the service and although the best serving of Uncharted pie, it certainly is a masterpiece in ots own right.
Little Big Planet: Karting
Kind of fitting that with the departure of Little Big Planet 2, that the next game in the series comes to PlayStation Plus. I personally have been waiting for this title to appear on the game collection as it showed alot of promise at the Eurogamer Expo last year and then was drowned out in the Christmas madness.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Huge surprise, as 2K Games have agreed to have XCOM: Enemy Unknown join the Freebie bonanza and will be available as part of the Instant Game Collection for one whole year. In case you have been under a rock for the last 12 months, XCOM: Enemy Unknown is the reboot of the original XCOM turn based squad tactical (UFO to me and you) from back in the Nineties. Needless to say, it is awesome and should be top of your download queue next week.
So thanks again to Sony for adding more cool games to the digital shelf of shame! One day, I will play them all... one day.
